Skydive Byron Bay

For those of you who don't know, I am a big scaredy cat who is terrified of roller coasters, and anything else that sets of my intolerance to motion sickness off. But last weekend I conquered my fear, on a much larger scale. I went sky diving! It was my boyfriend's 21st, what better way to celebrate than falling from 14,000ft?

Skydive Australia has a 100% safety record, which is very comforting to know when you're a nervous wreck like myself. I was excited, but also extremely anxious. The staff at Byron Bay are professional, enthusiastic, and supportive! They were very encouraging, and my instructor took good care of me from the moment he introduced himself.

Ever since I was little, flying in planes made me happy and curious. I always wanted to know what a cloud felt like to touch. I was lucky enough to experience this when we were free falling - it was amazing! I think that was one of my favourite parts. I love the landscape of where I live, so it was exciting to see the Byron Shire and its surroundings from such a great height (and not out of a small window from a plane).

After the initial jump, I couldn't stop smiling! This was truly an amazing experience that has left me breathless. This small review does not do it any justice. Skydiving is a wonderful activity which will open your eyes to a whole new world of possibilities! At first I thought I was doing this for Luke, then I went deeper, and saw that I really wanted to do this for myself. So I could be more confident, to take more risks, and appreciate the beautiful place we live in. And not to mention so I could feel like a bad ass and say that I jumped out of a plane at 14,000ft!

I hope this encourages some unsure people to face their fears and go for it! Skydiving is something you will never know what it feels like, unless you experience it first hand. It is the best thing I have done in my life, and certainly won't be the only time I do it! I want to take this opportunity to thank Skydive Byron Bay, and give them a 10/10! Cairns is next on my list!

High Tea at Passiontree Velvet

Hi lovelies! For the last few weeks I have patiently been waiting for the opening of Passiontree Velvet in Coolangatta, and it finally happened! I attended a cute morning High Tea with two lovely ladies and I am happy to say I wasn't disappointed!

We shared two different types of High Tea - The Duchess and The Chocolatiers. The Duchess Full High Tea is served with ribbon finger sandwiches, English scones with cream and jam, and a variety of High Tea fancies. Whereas, The Chocolatiers High Tea is served with ribbon finger sandwiches, an array of chocolate bonbons, truffles, macarons, and other delicious chocolates.

I ordered their rose scented tea which I immediately fell in love with! I was given a small plunger which I thought was a wonderful idea, and the staff came by numerous times to top it up for me. It has a beautiful aroma, and the menu was right - it tastes as good as it smells! The tea paired perfectly with our High Tea and I highly recommend trying it.

The staff were very lovely, and knowledgeable of their products. I loved that we were told what everything on our plates were, and nothing was too much trouble. They all had a positive and welcoming attitude which made me feel comfortable - most places that I have been to lack this, so I was quite surprised.

Overall rating: ♥♥♥♥♡

I am so happy we now have a Passiontree Velvet in my area, finally somewhere to go for quality sweets and tea! I will certainly be making weekly visits to Passiontree Velvet; I think I might try their Banana Crunch Waffle next!

FOREVER 21 Launch Outfit

Here is my last post about my Brisbane trip with Meghan. My OOTD for the FOREVER 21 launch. All photos were taken by her, so please go show her some love on her blog Kind of Lovely!

Coordinate run down:
Dress: Ank Rouge
Stockings: H&M
Shoes: Secret Shop
Bag: Evil Live
Wig: Lockshop

I decided to go for a pastel Otome look - my first go at the style! How do you think I went? I have been admiring this fashion style for a while, and thought it would be perfect to try come the warmer months. Where I live in Australia, it gets extremely hot over Summer, so I can't wear Lolita. This year I would love to wear more casual Lolita and Otome styles.

I bought this dress when I was in Tokyo. It is a lovely pastel blue, with ribbon down the front of the torso, and cute puffy sleeves. The dress features elegant pleats with a sweets print along the bottom. I absolutely adore the print, it even has parfaits! As soon as I tried it on, I fell in love! The material is thin which makes it perfect for the warmer months ahead. I love how versatile this dress is; I can wear it with cute ankle socks and flats, or stockings and heels. This is one of my most favourite dresses I own, and I think you can see why!

Please stay tuned for a review on the wig and bag featured in my OOTD, as well as posts about my trip to Japan! Also don't forget to click on the links to your right, and like me on Facebook, follow me on Bloglovin', etc.

Much love,

A Day in Brisbane With Meghan

As you know, Meg and I recently made a day trip to Brisbane to go to the FOREVER 21 launch. I have decided to make a separate post for everything else we did that day! Please read my previous post to see photos of the new FOREVER 21 store.
When we finished at F21, we were extremely hungry and decided to go for a wander and find something to eat! We came across Passion Tree and decided on the chocolate fondue set for two, as well as two drinks. I was excited that they had my favourite tea brand 'T2' and decided to go with Melbourne Breakfast (which is a beautiful blend, by the way).
After we were full with sweets, we went back to shopping. I finally got to go to Topshop! I was so excited, Topshop is one of my favourite stores to window shop online. It did not disappoint. The store is beautifully set out, with a clean and modern appearance.
I was excited to show Meg my favourite sleepwear brand - Peter Alexander. I think I am more in love with the physical store than I am the pyjamas.. but that's okay, right? I just love how sweet smelling and decorated it is! If you have never been to a PA, you're missing out... Go! Right now!

I think I fit right in, don't you?

Where are your favourite places in Brisbane to shop/eat? I would love to go to some hidden treasures on my next visit!

Please don't forget to subscribe to my blog, and like my facebook page! Hope you are having a lovely day!

Much love,

FOREVER 21 Brisbane Grand Opening!

Hello cuties! Last Thursday my friend Meghan (Kind of Lovely) & I went to Brisbane for the FOREVER 21 store launch! Meg was lovely enough to let me use her photos she took on the day, as my camera isn't as flash as hers.

We woke up extremely early so we could make the hour and a half trip to Brisbane and line up before the doors opened. When we got to Queen Street we were pretty bummed that the line was so long... but little did we know it would get A LOT longer! While waiting for the doors to open, we were given lollipops by the Nova girls, and Meg won a $25 gift voucher for answering a question about the company correctly.

The store is very elegant yet modern; everything is white so its looks lovely and fresh. I was surprised to see so much clothing packed into two levels! It was relatively organised, and with so much variety I found it hard to look through everything! There are outfits to suit a lot of different styles and occasions, as well as lingerie and shoes.

I remember going to one a few years back in San Fransisco, so I had high expectations and the Brisbane store delivered! I felt as though F21 targets more teenagers than young adults like myself, but it was great to see good quality products that are at affordable prices. I ended up finding some cute things, too! I did limit myself as I'm saving for a holiday, but I will post a mini haul in the near future, so please watch this space!

Even though you could tell they have beeen having a painful morning, the staff were very friendly and helpful! They gave us a cute little gift with purchases - I unfortunately missed out on the watches, but got headphones instead. My overall experience at F21 was very pleasant and I will definitely make the trip to go again.

If you are a Brisbane or Gold Coast local, be sure to make the effort to see the new F21 store in Queen Street. And if you've already been, tell me what you think in the comments below!
